Anxiety Resources Summary

A range of emotional well-beingand anxiety resources that are suitable for young children from the ages of 11 through to late teens and adults.

1. Anxiety Toolkit Tin:

This toolkit in a tin contains a range of resources designed to support you/your child as anxieties are worked through as they occur, rather than ignore them. Think of emotions as a Jack-in-the-Box and if they aren’t dealt with, they lay low until all of sudden they pop right back up (and may appear bigger than if you had worked through them at an earlier stage).

1 x set of grounding stones
1 x grounding postcard
1 x two page anxiety notepad (50 sheets)
1 x affirmation pen (wording chosen at random)
4 x affirmation colouring cards
1 x set of 10 eco friendly pencils
1 x things I can control sheet
1 x positive note
1 x affirmation postcard
1 x relaxation postcard
1 x window breathing postcard
1 x coping strategies postcard
2 x fidget toys
1 x sensory sticker
1 x timer
1 x grounding keyring
1 x covering letter
FREE 1 x Kelly the Poet affirmation card

2. Anxiety Notepad and Affirmation Pen:

A double paged notepad that allows for understanding your/your child's emotions and how they make you feel. You can record strategies that help to relieve them with self-reflection on how you feel after an activity. The power of positive thinking is a great way to look at any negative thoughts and change them into something more positive (eg. swop: “it’s not working” to “I need to find a new strategy”). The goal setting section on the notepad acts a motivator that can trigger new and better behaviours; they don’t need to be big goals, just achievable ones (make my bed in the morning, have something to eat before leaving the house) etc. Mental well-being and growth is improved with the satisfaction of achieving ‘something’.

3. Supportive Postcards and Marble Mesh Fidget:

A set of 5 high quality postcards, including the effective 54321 grounding technique that is used in cognitive behaviour therapy. It is a great exercise when you are anxious and brings you/your child into the present moment by isolating your senses and focussing on them. This is better practiced in quiet moments, so you feel the benefit when it is most needed.
